Our story

YourWaves was born from one question: what if the invisible “noise” in our homes affects us more than we realize? Founder Natalee Whitesell discovered this firsthand after years of disrupted sleep and unexplained anxiety. When a physician recommended reducing WiFi, Natalee dismissed the idea—until curiosity got the better of her.

Researching on her own, she found growing evidence that non-ionizing, or non-thermal, radiation from WiFi and similar devices can influence biological systems. She decided to test it herself—rewiring her home to rely on Ethernet instead of WiFi. The improvement in rest and focus was enough to convince her she wasn’t imagining things.

That experiment became a mission. Natalee realized most people want to protect their health but have no idea where to start, and that many service providers can’t or won’t help with “WiFi reduction.” So she founded YourWaves to make it approachable, factual, and actionable.

Our MISSION

The goal isn’t to eliminate technology, but to live with it wisely. The FCC’s primary wireless exposure guidelines haven’t been substantially updated since 1996, even as the number of connected devices in a typical home has multiplied many times over. Independent scientists and medical professionals have called for updated standards that account for long-term, cumulative exposure.

YourWaves exists to help individuals take practical steps toward health at home: replacing wireless with wired where possible, turning off routers when not in use, and understanding how placement and usage affect daily exposure. The process is measurable, reversible, and empowering.
